Becoming a Certified Instructor
Teaching Background: Current PGA or USGTF standing or two years experience as a golf teaching professional (and currently teaching) is recommended prior to becoming a NGCI. USGTF members must have a handicap of 7 or below. Non-PGA and non-USGTF members must show documented proof of a handicap below 7.
Obtain a Teaching Facility: You must have access to a teaching facility with an adequate driving range and preferably a golf course where you can both teach Natural Golf programs and sell Natural Golf equipment. In order to meet Natural Golf’s facility requirements, the teaching facility may have grass stalls or mats, a short game practice area (preferably with bunker) and a putting green. Natural Golf will structure and maintain an agreement between its corporate office and your facility, which will be coordinated through you after completion of Certification School.
Complete a Natural Golf Application: An informational application is available online (see link below). Once submitted you will be placed on our list for contact regarding our Certification schedule.
Attend a Certification School: This multiple-day school includes classroom instruction, a demonstration and playing exam, fitting workshop and candidate instructional presentations. Prior to attending, you must have the ability to teach, explain, and demonstrate the Natural Golf Single Plane Swing and be able to explain the ways in which it differs from the conventional golf swing.
Note: PGA Members receive continuing education credit hours for attending the Certification School.
